Will SDVOSBs exceed their 3% goal for the eighth straight year?

The Small Business Administration (SBA) released its latest Procurement Scoreboard earlier this month. Service-Disabled Veteran-owned businesses won $22 billion, or 4.4% of adjusted total procurement, from federal agencies in fiscal 2019 — beating the SBA’s 3% goal for the seventh straight year. Moreover, the SBA also recently announced that federal agencies increased prime contract awards to small business contractors, like GMP, in FY 2019. So, will SDVOSBs exceed their 3% goal for the eighth straight year? Our bet is that they will, as total SDVOSB set-aside contract awards for 2020 to-date are already at 70% of the 2019 total, according to our most up-to-date reports from BloombergGov. It’s no secret that September is our busy month and it’s known as “use-it-or-lose-it” spending
